BOTOX® Cosmetic

Fortunately, BOTOX® Cosmetic provides an effective treatment alternative to cosmetic surgery for reducing the appearance of crow's feet, frown lines, brow furrows, forehead wrinkles, and more. Restylane®

Restylane® is one of the newest dermal fillers made from hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found within the body. Hyaluronic acid fills in space between collagen and elastin fibers in the skin and helps to cushion soft connective tissue. The amount of hyaluronic acid in the body slowly depletes over time due to the effects of aging and the environment, and this results in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the skin.

Restylane® Treatment

Restylane® gel is injected with a fine needle to fill in problem areas on the skin, instantly resulting in a more youthful appearance. Patients can enjoy the benefits of Restylane® for up to six months. There are relatively few side effects associated with Restylane® because hyaluronic acid naturally occurs in the body. Collagen Injections

Microlipoinjections (Facial Fat Transfer)

Microlipoinjections offer a safe alternative for patients who wish to rejuvenate facial skin but are allergic to traditional bovine collagen fillers. Also known as facial fat transfers or fat injections, the procedure involves removing fat cells from other parts of the patient's body and injecting it into areas of the face to eliminate lines, hollows, and wrinkles, or to plump up the lips. Results with fat transfers are immediate and can last several years. Patients undergoing abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) or liposuction may find that simultaneous fat injection treatment is very cost-effective. The fat injections at our Darien practice also make great additions to other skin care treatments we offer to modify your appearance such as microdermabrasion and medical-grade chemical peels.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels provide an effective skin care treatment option to diminish fine lines and wrinkles on the face, eliminate scars and uneven skin tone, and make otherwise damaged skin look and feel fresh and supple. Chemical peels are performed with effective, yet gentle chemicals that resurface and rejuvenate the skin. Our aesthetician provides a variety of chemical peels, including glycolic and fruit acid peels and the Obagi Blue Peel®, to treat several different skin conditions.

Glycolic Acid Peel

Glycolic peels are a refreshing, customized skin treatment that removes the superficial layer of dead skin cells and promotes skin cell regeneration through exfoliation. Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid that gently works to improve the texture and tone of skin. As skin is exfoliated, lines and wrinkles seem to vanish. The chemical peel also helps to treat mild acne scarring. The entire process takes less than an hour. Five to eight chemical peels performed over the course of a few months are advised for optimal skin enhancing results. Skin becomes more balanced, even-toned, and healthier following glycolic acid peel treatment.

Fruit Acid Peel

Fruit acid peels offer another great way to exfoliate the skin. We provide customized papaya chemical peel treatments for invigorating skin care. Papaya enzymes not only gently eliminate dead skin cells from the top layer of the skin, but they also stimulate new skin cell growth by encouraging the production of collagen and elastin. Obagi Blue Peel® System

We are proud to offer the Obagi Blue Peel® System for the ultimate in skin care. The Obagi Blue Peel® System is used to treat a variety of skin conditions such as fine lines and wrinkles, skin discolorations, acne scars, freckles, and skin damaged by the environment. Like the glycolic acid and papaya peels, the Obagi Blue Peel® treatment removes dead skin cells and stimulates new skin cell production. However, the Obagi Blue Peel® is formulated with a light trichloroacetic acid that is slow-acting, which allows the aesthetician to control the peel process. The peel takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. The Obagi Blue Peel® skin care treatment is used in combination with the Obagi Nu-Derm® System for amazing skin transformation. Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion involves using small, abrasive aluminum oxide crystals that are sprayed onto the skin to slough away dead skin cells.
